But I fell asleep.<\/p>\n<p>I do have a rant though.<\/p>\n<p>Today in the paper, they published &#8220;elementary school report cards.&#8221; We&#8217;ve had secondary school report cards for quite some time now, and well, the teacher&#8217;s union doesn&#8217;t like them, neither does the left-wing party, but they still exist, despite all protests. These &#8220;report cards&#8221; are based on standardized test results, and then the schools are ranked.<\/p>\n<p>I want to know why this kind of thing is necessary. My elementary school finished below average, but I still got an excellent education there, because of my teachers. Elementary schools aren&#8217;t like high schools&#8211;you just can&#8217;t judge them in the same way. There is little standardization between schools. It all depends on the teachers you have. I was lucky, and had good teachers throughout my elementary school career. I was also a keen student, so I don&#8217;t know how much of that you can separate. (I mean, is my success now due to my own personal motivation or was it due to the shaping by my teachers?)<\/p>\n<p>Besides, it&#8217;s not like elementary school COUNTS for anything. >>; All this does is make parents mad at teachers.<\/p>\n<p>Sheesh.<\/p>\n<p>The CAS journal is calling me&#8230; >>;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Heh heh heh.
