Did I mention today was the first day of mocks? Let’s just say they’re a little harder than I had expected. >.>; French had a lot of idiomatic expressions I didn’t know, and I’m still unsure on a decent French definition of “inconditionnel.” And us poor HLs had four texts to deal with! Four! T_T Actually, it wasn’t all that bad. I could make educated guesses when necessary. English was your typical “oh, let’s talk about literary devices” dealy. Not bad. I had plenty of time but refused to proofread it. I hate proofreading my own things.<\/p>\n

On the flip side, there is NOTHING funnier than “Learn (language)” when you are a native speaker of said language.<\/p>\n
For example, I’m listening to a Cantonese conversation thingy-ma-bob right now. Look! I’ll translate the thing!<\/p>\n
Man: Excuse me, Miss, do you know English?
\nWoman: I don’t understand it. I don’t understand English.
\nMan: I can understand a little Cantonese.
\nWoman: Are you American?
\nMan: Yes. I am American.<\/p>\n
O-hohohoho. I am so smart. I am also looking forward to hearing the rest of this, so I can feel linguistically superior. It doesn’t happen very often. ._.<\/p>\n
