But not that much. In any case, I was sent for extra training today, which I think sucks, since I’m on a leave of absence. On the other hand, I will get paid four hours for sitting there three hours (heh, they screwed up booking th room) and doing nothing, so that’s also good.

Anyway, I figure I’d dedicate this post to my shoes, since I work in a shoe store, after all.

1) Runners the first: Old and grimy and a smidge too tight, but comfortable all the same. They are not exactly lovely, after being worn in for a year and a bit, but well…. THEY SUPPORT BREAST CANCER RESEARCH! SO THERE!

2) Runners the second: Not quite as old or grimy, more fashionable than the other ones (which are actually meant for, you know, running.) Nice for casual walks.

3) Ankle boots: I’ve had these forever and they’re only starting to fall apart now. The metal studs are not a great idea, as they keep catching the hems of my pants (not to mention they probably set off airport security alarms), and the round toe for a boot’s not really in anymore, and there’s not enough of a heel…. but I still like them.

4) Black platform sandals: I can wear these and be tall. That’s enough to make my day. They give me blisters, though, which is never desirable in a shoe.

5) Grey strappy platform sandals: I never wear these. I think the last time I wore them was grad. (Speaking of grad, I dreamt I was looking for a grad dress last night. And it was just as un-fun as the first time.)

6) Winter boots: For winter. ‘Nuff said. They’re hideous, though, and if they hadn’t kept me from slipping a few times I’d banish them from my collection. Plus I think they have salt caked on them. Gross. :tongue:

7) Dressy black sandal: I love this shoe. I really, really love this shoe. Unfortunately, it’s not really practical for walking, because it’s open at the heel. I think I’ve only ever worn them to a wedding banquet. It’s got a two-inch heel–which I don’t mind–but it’s smaller (in area) than the ones I’m used to.

8) Black pumps: Every woman needs a good, basic black pump. I wear them with my suit 😀 I love how my mom steals my shoes and stuffs tissue in the toes to make them fit her right (which is what she did with these ones.) You know what I still need, though? Some pointy-toed shoes. I don’t have any of those.

9) Black loafer heels: I love these shoes, too. Again, basic black with a chunky, two-inch heel. I couldn’t reach the stuff on the top shelf without these, and if I didn’t wear them I’d look a head shorter than everyone else in the store. Sucks 🙁 And unfortunately they only look good with pants. You know, you never think a shoe with a two-inch heel is going to be comfortable, but this one is really not too bad (I think anyone’s feet would hurt, no matter what shoes they were wearing, after standing for eight hours.)

10) Suede-like black shaft boots: A tad more practical than some of my other shoes, but I didn’t get to wear them that much 🙁 It rained too much this winter. And it’s getting too warm now for boots. Especially suede ones. I was planning to get some leather-like black ones, but my mom vetoed after she saw the heel. She had a point, though, I couldn’t walk in them. But they were so awesome.

11) Brown loafers, no heel: They look nice with jeans 🙂 Although they get scuffed easily, which is not ideal.

12) Low strappy black sandal: They make my feet look wide but they’re so cute >_>;;

Anyway, that’s my run down on my shoes. I still need to buy a pair of flip-flops or two for summer (not that I ever wear flip-flops…) and I’m kinda changing my mind about wedges. But not enough for me to buy a pair. 😛

I miss work, a little bit. But not that much.
