I’m not really sure how I feel about the First Lady of France. After her supermodel career, she turned to singing, and though it’s often the case that crossovers of this kind end badly, she seems to be doing quite well for herself.

Someone told me our lives aren’t worth much
They disappear in a blink the same way flowers fade
Someone told me time is a bastard, he makes capes from our pain
And yet, someone told me

Refrain
That you still loved me
Someone told me that you love me still
Is it even possible?

Someone told me destiny laughs at us
That he promises everything, gives nothing
So when happiness seems to be in reach
We reach for it and drive ourselves crazy
And yet, someone told me

Refrain

But who was it who told me you loved me still?
I can’t remember, it was late at night
I still hear the voice, but I can’t make out the features
“He loves you, it’s a secret, don’t tell him I told you”
You see, someone told me

That you still loved me, someone really told me
That you still loved me, was it even possible?

Someone told me our lives aren’t worth much
They disappear in a blink the same way flowers fade
Someone told me time is a bastard, he makes capes from our pain
And yet, someone told me

Refrain
