So I’ve found out that marking with French TV in the background really works. For whatever reason I’ve cottoned onto the Voice, possibly because Mika as a coach/judge is totally adorable and he always says the right things to the contestants.

The soundtrack to Paris, je t’aime includes this little gem from Feist (yes, she of “1234” fame.) There’s also an English version on the soundtrack, but it’s not the same song.

I still manage to procrastinate by translating things. Who would have guessed. Anyway, the story behind this song? it’s off Mes Aïeux’s old album En Famille, which also features the brilliant song “Dégénerations.” This one’s a bit sweeter, though.

I’m not really sure how I feel about the First Lady of France. After her supermodel career, she turned to singing, and though it’s often the case that crossovers of this kind end badly, she seems to be doing quite well for herself.
