I don’t understand this season’s fashion.

Skinny jeans: only look good on the skinny. Am I the only one who sees the inherent contradiction in “plus-size skinny jeans”? I must also say “NO” to the black cigarette pant. Sorry, Audrey.

Tights: ditto. Although I shall grudgingly admit that now we have something to wear with ballet flats. (Which I don’t like for a different reason.)

Patent leather: Why? Patent leather takes me back to oh, Grade 2.

Puffy on top: I have nothing more to say about this. It looks ridiculous.

I am liking the layering, though. Spares me the sight of bare midriffs that bulge.

I don’t think my tagboard is working.

By the way, do you think you have time for a CORE OF SOUL – “Full Moon Prayer” translation? I can’t for the life of me find one online.

Petzee Says:

UGH! *seconds everything you said* “Skinny” jeans and those types of pants remind me waaay too much of “mom” jeans. Every time I see someone wearing mid-calf length tights and a miniskirt, I want to puke. Wasn’t that like, the worst part of the 80s?? XP

Cat Says:

Sarah: I agree with you there, but that’s basically a consequence of it getting colder, rather than any arbitrary fashion designer saying what should be in. And translation-wise: I tried, once, and it failed horribly. Maybe I’ll ask my lab partner for help (he took Japanese back in Indonesia…) ;D

Petzee: Thanks 😀 Nice to know that I have some taste after all. 😀
