Argh, I have nothing to say, except that I screwed up my Rice Krispie squares. My mom thinks they’re too sweet, and she can’t chew them at all. ;_;
Oh yeah, {{link http://mynameismike.pitas.com/ Michael}} has a blog now. Go bother him about it. Heaven knows Sarah, Sam and I pestered him enough. And all of a suddne he changes his mind. Tsk tsk.

Well! I have an awful lot to say.
Let’s start with… Friday at Subway. Which was really quite cool because two people told me I was fast (which is unprecedented! I’m always being told to work faster!) Then one guy tipped me a dollar ^_~ I was also told that one guy had had the best sandwich ever at Subway thanks to me. That was also unprecedented. On the bad side, Michael was being weird again. I think he’s mad at me, and I don’t know why. Also, some guy who came in and ordered six chicken subs tipped us five dollars *_*
Um… yesterday, of course, fireworks… busy as usual, and without Sarah, it ws quite difficult, as Sosa didn’t always know what he was doing. He stole the chicken **I** was supposed to use, and then the customer got difficult. ;_; I miss Sarah. We need you! Yesterday was just bad. I didn’t have a chance to eat. At all.
Today. I had to wake up early, after getting home at 10 to midnight last night. That was not fun. At all. But since the Pride Parade was today, Tiff and I had to get there early. ;_; We got off early though. ^^ It wasn’t busy AT ALL. But James and Michael came late. BOO!
And I get tomorrow off and I don’t have to work until 12 on Tuesday. Whee!

You know, it’s funny how one year can totally change the way you view things. A year later, you’re in a completely different set of circumstances, you’ve experienced more, learned more, made more mistakes… things have happened and there are oppurtunities you wish you’d taken and those you’re glad you never did… as well, of course, as those you were quite happy to have taken.
I am, of course, referring to the -ahem- “Celebration of Light” down at English Bay.
Last year: “Fireworks. Whatever. Nothing I haven’t seen before.” This year: “Fireworks!!! AHHH!!! I’M GOING TO DIE A HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE DEATH.”
We were busy. As in **busy**. Busy as bees. Busy as those secretaries you see on TV. Busy as IB students. Busy as someone who runs nine sites and updates them all weekly! Busy as… us.
You know how your fingertips get all wrinkly when you’re in the bath too long? That’s what happened to my hands. My hands were stinging from jalapen~o juice. We had to keep getting refills of our various sauces, not to mention pickles and olives. There were customers who kept hemming and hawwing over what veggies they wanted. There were some really stupid ones (okay, one) that kept telling me to pile more onto his sub. There was a couple that ordered FOUR FOOTLONG CHICKEN TERIYAKI SUBS. Do you know how long it takes to heat that stuff up, people? Do you? Four footlongs = eight containers = over two pounds of chicken meat.
On the bright side, I saw Josh (actually, he saw me) and Andrew, who was in my math class.
At least, I think his name’s Andrew….

Wellllll…. lessee. Today is my day off. So I skipped volunteering (for the third time in a row!) What can I say? My mom decided that since we rarely get to go out as a family now, (between me and my parents’ jobs) we needed to go out and do something. So we went shopping. ^_^ I picked up a cute cross stitch kit. My brother bought \Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets\. My mom bought herself a skirt.
And! I started reading \Don Casmurro\. Sort of. Not really. ^^;
Okay, the reason I’m saying all this stupid, useless stuff is that I saw that I had 21 hits on my counter. That is quite a few, for my little insignificant blog. ^^; So I’m trying to fill up space and please my readers… (if I have more than three or four out there.)
Meanwhile… I’ve gotten back into the Colab Art scene at {{link http://www.sailormoonfanart.com this site}}, and I am now a hostee at {{link http://www.kyuui.nu/ kyuuiNU}} and, as such, am part of the {{link http://www.faerie-girl.net/charmed hostee blog}} there! Whee!

Today is Steven’s last day. ;_; It’s so sad. He’s leaving us for Ottawa on Tuesday. ;_; Steven is so sool. He never really gets mad or anything, and he cleans everything while I serve people. I’m going to miss him a lot.
Speaking of serving people, here are my STUPID customer stories!
3) Me: “What kind of bread would you like, sir?” Him: “I don’t know.” The choices were RIGHT IN FRONT of him.
2) I had just finished serving two other people. An elderly coulple was waiting. The man said to me, “you should have served us first, we’re two people.” Well, excuse me, I thought the others were together, too, they just wanted to pay separately.
1) A lady comes in. First thing she says to me is, “I was wondering where you were.” I hadn’t kept her waiting for more than fifteen seconds. She ordered a deli-style seafood sandwich. “Okay, now spread it all around.” I was reaching for a knife to do just that. As I started moving on: “All the way to the edges. I don’t want a mouthful of bread. I could make a bread and butter sandwich at home.” (By the way: it’s not butter, it’s light mayo.) Sauce: “Light on the mayo. [I squeeze a line across.] Okay, now how’s that supposed to spread around the bread?” (It’s not. You can’t have “light on the mayo” and have it spread around, unless you want me to do it with a knife. In any case, the seafood has plenty of mayo on it already.) Wrapped everything up for her, told her it was $2.77. “You know, I don’t appreciate you not putting the price up there. I don’t like suprises at the till. You know, at Cambie and Robson, the seafood deli is the same price as the turkey deli. $2.59.” She took she sandwich and left. >.>;; But see, the thing is, the two sandwiches are the same price. They’re both $2.59 before tax, $2.77 after.
I didn’t like her very much. Picky, picky, fussy “lady.” (I use that term loosely.)
Other than that… business has been slow. So slow. I just sit around eating all the broken cookies XD

O_o;; Again, I haven’t blogged in a while. ^^;; Work for the past few days has not been too bad. I got to work with James, who is teaching me bad habits ^^;; But we have nice and lengthy discussions about anime. Which is fun ^^
The other day, some guy tipped me a dollar for giving him two cups. *_* That was very cool. We also had a really stupid and obnoxious customer that day, but.. pbbbft.
Today didn’t start out that well either. My very first customer got mad at me, and Lilian thought I came late (because it said 2:00 on the schedule, although I had been told to come at 2:30 instead.) But it got better later.
And…….. {{link http://majesty.imess.net/ Her Majesty}} is getting hosted! Whee! {{email serene@kyuui.nu Skylark}} of {{link http://kyuui.nu kyuuiNU}} is hosting it. ^____^ And I found her domain through Refraction, too ^_- Neat, huh?
I have a feeling I’m forgetting something… O_o;;

I’m such a hypocrite. Here I go telling people to blog more, and then I don’t myself! Even Victoria is blogging more than me, and she’s on vacation in England!
Anyway. My weekend was quite good, it was filled with getting Sailormoon stuff. My cousin gave me her chibi SM figures. They’re really cute ^^ And then, on Sunday, I went to Yaohan, and realized for the first time that there’s a Japanese bookstore there that just happens to have a sizeable manga section. So I got SM tankoubon #3!! *_* And it has a shiny mini-poster *_* And it was cheaper than the translated English version, too. *_* (Almost half the price.)
And at Subway… uh… stuff is happening. Hum. I had the oppurtunity to work with James the other day, who is actually quite… uh… nice? And Steven and I had to do a lot of cleaning yesterday (but he did more than me. Don’t tell.) And…. uh…
Hum. I need to add a few links here and there, and update the ol’ collective, and possibly look into getting a domain. (Which I’m still not sure I want at this point.)
And, for more randomness, blue crabs are blue XD

Well, well, well…. yesterday was a very interesting day at Subway. >.>;; First, we had a lady come in and order twenty-four and a half subs. >.>;;;;;; That was bad. Luckily, Ying and Rosey and Sarah were still here and could help make them. 😀 It was also extremely, extremely hot and we started running out of stuff…. >.>;; We ran out of cumcumbers. And that lady who ordered the stupendously large amount of subs just about cleaned us out of Italian bread. Anyway. Later, as I was doing some CC-Trio setups, some guy comes in, buys a sub of some sort, comes back for some napkins, and then **STEALS OUR TIP JAR!** >:O!! Good thing Steven was watching him on the uh… TV thingy and caught him (and got all our tips back too!) ^_~ There were only a few dollars in there (which is actually not that bad considering most people don’t tip at a place like Subway.)
Did I mention it was really too hot to think?
July 11th, 2002
I picked a new counter (took me a while, OKCounter has so many styles!). I can’t believe my blog has reached a thousand hits. *_* That’s so cool. *_* Thanks everyone!
