Did I mention today was the first day of mocks? Let’s just say they’re a little harder than I had expected. >.>; French had a lot of idiomatic expressions I didn’t know, and I’m still unsure on a decent French definition of “inconditionnel.” And us poor HLs had four texts to deal with! Four! T_T Actually, it wasn’t all that bad. I could make educated guesses when necessary. English was your typical “oh, let’s talk about literary devices” dealy. Not bad. I had plenty of time but refused to proofread it. I hate proofreading my own things.

Tomorrow is history… AAAHH! HISTORY!! AHHH!!

On the flip side, there is NOTHING funnier than “Learn (language)” when you are a native speaker of said language.

For example, I’m listening to a Cantonese conversation thingy-ma-bob right now. Look! I’ll translate the thing!

Man: Excuse me, Miss, do you know English?
Woman: I don’t understand it. I don’t understand English.
Man: I can understand a little Cantonese.
Woman: Are you American?
Man: Yes. I am American.

O-hohohoho. I am so smart. I am also looking forward to hearing the rest of this, so I can feel linguistically superior. It doesn’t happen very often. ._.

Ugh, I just had a mock in English this morning. Three hours long, and yet I didn’t manage to finish my damn critical appreciation! Mou! >< Idioms suck, but knowing how good your French is, I’m sure you did fine, darling. 🙂 and good luck for History tomorrow, k? I just hate exams and mocks in particular cause generally, the mocks are harder than the exams themselves! Where’s the logic in that?

Anthony Says:

Especially since the teachers expect you to review a year and a half’s worth of work (for 5 or 6 courses) in a week when there’s also History IA due!!!
For May exams, you actually get three months to study (I hope).

Bobby Says:

We’ll have those three months but it’s hard to say if we’ll effectively use all that time
