I need one of those “I got a blood test today!” stickers they give to little kids. (I know they exist, because I have one. Evidently I had a blood test when I was young. I wonder why I don’t remember this.)
Is it just me, or is the sight of needles in your skin disturbing? I can’t look whenever one is being stuck into me. I know I’ll tense up and that will distract whoever’s poking me, possibly leading them to try and poke me again. I think it’s even worse when something is being taken out of you rather than put in.
I don’t know if that classifies me as “scared of needles.” I don’t become hysterical when a needle is brought close to me. I just don’t like looking at them going into my skin. :tongue:
Oh, and a final question: Why would applying pressure to the point of needle insertion prevent bruising? O_o;
