The mouseover is not working. Not a big deal, but it SHOULD BE WORKING. GAH!! I’ve spent the last 20 minutes or so trying to work them out. But they just… don’t work. At least not on the blog itself. On the other pages, it’s fine. -_-;; I’ll go mess around some more, I think.

**EDIT** Boo! Hiss! I know why it’s not working, but I can’t do anything about it, unless I find another mouseover script. Boo-hoo. ;_; It works on the other pages though, so if you’d like to see what I had planned, just click one of the squares!

**EDIT 2** **F-I-N-A-L-L-Y-!-!** I found a script at {{link http://www.dynamicdrive.com/}}, and finally, my mouseover works. now behold the blog in all its glory! ;P Just kidding, of course. but! Finally! A layout done ON TIME! And yes, this thing should be done, unless someone finds another bug >.>;; Anyway, good night!

Yes, look, it’s a new layout for Refraction! Yay! 🙂 Finally. I have to admit, this was a lot easier with DIV and absolute positioing. But now it won’t look right in some browsers. >.< But splicing the image was seriously not working. You’ll notice the “humming,” “drinking,” etc. have been removed from the side. It was just a little bit of a pain to edit them with Greymatter. And I don’t think they added a lot to the page anyway. But, in return, you get three other pages! Yes! Those squares on the left aren’t just squares; they’re links! ^_^

So, enjoy, and please leave me some comments about the layout, or use the form on this page. Thanks! I’d like to know if it displays right for you people O_o;;

Suu will not be gracing this page for much longer. -sniff- As much as I like her, this layout’s a bit too dark for summer, I think. So soon, you will see… ah, I think I’ll keep it a secret. >:D However, I’m having a bit of trouble with it. >.< As usual. Expected launch date? July 8th. Yes, I know that's tomorrow. Probably will be rather LATE tomorrow, but.. ah... oh well. Good night! ^^;;

Well, well, well. {{link http://majesty.imess.net/ Her Majesty}} was reviewed by {{link http://www.sailorgalleries.com/reviews Devoted to Reviews}}, a WPR I’ve admired for a long time. It got 89%, which, in my opinion, is really not too bad. ^_^ (After all, it’s an A ;P) My little rant here is not about my review (okay, well, it just got me thinking.) It’s actually about reviewers in general. Actually it’s several rants O.o;;

Rant 1: Stupid reviewers.
This one’s been tossing around in my head for a while. Stupid reviewers. Reviewers who deduct marks for spelling “mistakes” which are actually correct. For example: in a character description, the author uses the phrase “hates maths.” The reviewer deducts marks for a spelling error. The list goes on. Canadian and British spellings. Also, stupid reviewers that give bad advice. -_-;;

Rant 2: Bashers.
The reviewers which just bash your page, and are just plain nasty. This kind of “advice” doesn’t help anyone. Constructive criticisms help. Suggestions help. Things like “You need to learn how to use a graphics program so your page doesn’t look so crappy” doesn’t help. Trying your best not to sugarcoat at all can sometimes lead to bashing. While bashing isn’t worse than sugarcoating (it’s just honesty, taken to an extreme) it isn’t much better, in my opinion. In a way, it’s almost like flaming. Almost.

Rant 3: Excessive use of the word “should.”
You SHOULD do this. You SHOULD do that. It’s annoying. You don’t always know more than the webmaster (trust me. Check out some review sites — some of them use free layouts. >.> I mean, if you give advice to people, obviously your website should be of a high quality.) Anyway. “Should” is annoying. It makes people arrogant, honestly.

Webmasters should pay careful attention to what WPRs they submit to. Stupid WPRs, sugarcoating WPRs, I mean, those kinds of reviews are useless. When you submit to a WPR, you’re looking to improve your site, right? I can’t say you’ll get too many quality suggestions from those kinds of WPRs.

Thanks for reading ^_^

I confess. I have a bad habit of not reading my friends’ blogs. So, this morning, I decide to see what my friends are up to. And, well… it’s not pleasant reading. -_-;;

Am I going to rant as {{link http://amora_song.pitas.com/ Sarah}} did? No. Because I wouldn’t know what to say. I don’t like what’s happening, but at the same time, I can’t put into words what I feel about it. I know that I’d like to see this resolved soon. It seems to me that to solve the problem, you’ll have to open the lines of communication. I can’t see how else you’re going to bring it to a close.

I am as sick of this as everyone else is.

And in other news, Bobby has a new {{link http://leafsblow.pitas.com/ blog}}! (Wow, Bobby, you must carry a deep deep hatred for the Leafs.)

Yay! I got my first ever paycheque today ^_^ Aren’t you all proud of me? I worked 20 hours last week at 6 dollars an hour… you figure it out. Meh heh heh. Sandwich artist. Me. That’s what someone said today, actually. “That sandwich… it’s a work of art.” Well, why do you think they call me “Sandwich Artist”? 😀 And besides that, I got $2 in tips! Yay! (Yes, Kley, I know it’s not that much but it will have to do.)

I am rather tired though. Standing for eight hours straight is kinda tiring X.x So now I am sitting in front of the computer. 😀 I want a freezie.

I put my collective up today. With my usual lack of inspiration for naming things, I called it “Crystalline.” >.> I just realized how exceedingly bad those thumbnail thingys look. I must change them, but I am too lazy to 😀 So I won’t. Very simple. I also forgot the full name of the girl, so I called her Ichigo. Which I know is either her first or last name. ::shrugs:: Anyone care to correct me?

And, in other news, video games are overly addicting. Even old ones, like FFIII / FFVI. (I don’t think I’m EVER going to figure that out.)

(Can you tell I’m a little sleepy?)

I’m unhappy.

But I should explain first. I’ve been working at Subway. A little bit. (Sarah’s cousins own the place :)) Anyhoo. I’m about to leave on Tuesday, and then I realize I can’t find my wallet. I’m not too worried at first — after all, I AM a bit forgetful. I can’t find it, and it’s time to leave. I get there. I’ve been worrying about my wallet all the way there (I was on the bus.) To make a long story short, I learn that someone else’s wallet was stolen on Sunday. This confirms my suspicions. I also found my scrunchie outside — a scruchie which I made several years ago. >.> This was in my bag as well.

So, what was in the wallet? An amount of money, my library card, my GoCard (student ID), and all my bubble tea/slurpee cards. Also assorted little things I’ve stuffed in there.

Not a lot, perhaps. But it’s hard to get a library card without a student ID. And I need to sign up for another one. >.< I'll probably get it soon. I’m sorry if I sound whiny. But I am annoyed. I am very annoyed. I want to trust the people I work with. I’m not so sure I can anymore; after all, the back door was locked. Once bitten, twice shy. >.> I hate this.

GAH!!! I am away from my email for all of TWO days, and suddenly, my hotmail account size is “critical.” C-R-I-T-I-C-A-L. GAH!! >.< I'm sure half of them are viruses, too -- I got a lot of email back saying, "Your email was empty." >.> And, well, since I haven’t been online the past few days, I haven’t sent any email. So this is a heads-up to all those people who got funny emails from me. They might be viruses. Or worms. Just don’t open them.

I also got a lot of weird freaky emails. HTML for subjects (bordercolor, topmargin, etc.) and very -ahem- odd names. “Shr00m666shady.” Oh yes, of course I’m going to open THAT email. It’s so… innocent. >.> I have to wonder, though, where did these people get my email? I don’t sign up for things with that email address.
