I would like to address what I think is a rather disturbing trend.

It’s young people who are charging for custom layouts.

Yes. I’m sorry. I just don’t think this is a good idea. It just seems a little wrong to me somehow…. I mean, every layout is different. How can you put a price on a splash image? On CSS coding?

You have to understand this: I am not bashing the professionals. No no no no no. I admire these people greatly. They HAVE to cater to different operating systems, browsers, resolutions… the list goes on. No, these people deserve every cent they get.

Kids… on the other hand. Think about it this way. If you ran a business website, you’re not going to ask a thirteen-year-old to design your website. Most kids learned probably learned HTML through a website (such as {{link http://www.lissaexplains.com/}}) or just copied others’ code and meddled with it. I’m sure the professionals have spent a lot of time (and probably money) learning how to do webdesign.

I can recognize that programs like PS and PSP cost a lot of money. But–think about it–those programs aren’t NECESSARY for webdesign. Heck, I use a program that came with my friend’s printer. Sure, I can’t use brushes and layers and things like that, but I compensate. There are other ways to make a webpage look attractive.

Last but not least–the designs some of these kids have on their own pages–they–well–are not that appealing to me. I don’t know what the point of that was. I just think that perhaps kids these days are placing too much emphasis on money. It’s certainly nice to be able to make money off something that one enjoys. But when it’s taken to this point, it just doesn’t seem realistic to me.

I don’t know why I find this disturbing. Perhaps it’s the fact that these kids think that they are equal to people who have taken courses and such to get to the point where they are today.

-_-;; Don’t…. feel… like…. blogging.

But at least I give an explanation, unlike {{link http://sleepies.pitas.com/ SOME PEOPLE}} that I could name.

Stealing–er, I mean collecting, of course–money from people is fun 😀

I don’t understand. Sometimes GM will just automagically display my posts under GMT time. Problem is, that’s sometimes an entire day ahead. I’m not quite sure why this happens…. >.>;; It’s very odd.

GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont’ think I’ll rant about the subtleties \entre\ real unreal and unreal real today. Suffice to say that whoever wrote that was probably slightly out of his mind and didn’t know what the hell he was talking about.

On the good side, I had candy today.

I understand Physics now. *_* The units after the slope thingy is equivalent to y/x. The reason teh circle one didn’t have units was because it would have been cm^2/cm^2. The units CANCEL out. *_* And then, of course, F = .78 N/mm^2. Y over X. So simple! I can’t believe I was worrying about this! It’s no problem at all! YEAH!!!

Working on a Chobits layout for Celestial Illusions. I’m moving it to {{link http://www.andromaeda.net/ Andie’s}} domains. She rocks ^^ Give her a visit, her site’s really worth checking out!

Hee hee! I joined an IB webring! Yeah! Webrings are cool *_*

I finally got the hang of that Physics lab after all. It really wasn’t that difficult. I think I’ve created a mental block for myself… although, you know, non-practical stuff about physics, like time, and relativity, and the structure of atoms, and stuff, that’s fun *_*

TOK was actually understandable today. For the first time ever! But darn Zengotita and his “gradations of reality.” They’re so annoying! >:-|

Anyway. I have two quizzes to share with you guys!

yami no yozora ga futari wakatsu no wa
yobiau kokoro hadaka ni suru tame
kazari nugisute subete nakusu toki
nanika ga mieru

kaze yo watashi wa tachimukau
yukou kurushimi no umi e to
kizuna kono mune ni kizande
kudakeru nami wa hatenaku tomo

nani wo motomete daremo arasou no?
nagashita chishio hana wo sakaseru no?
toutoki ashita kono te ni suru made
deaeru hi made

kaze yo watashi wa tachimukau
yukou kagayaki wo mezashite
inori kono mune ni dakishime
samayou yami no you na mirai

kaze yo watashi wa osorenai
ai koso mitsukedashita kiseki yo
kimi wo shinjite’ru yorokobi
arashi wa ai ni kizuku tame ni fuite’ru

That is my new favourite song.
