Random Anime Birthday: Minoru Kokubunji (Chobits)

A site that we were able to shut last year has returned. We have to try to shut it down again! A Japanese man in New York breeds and sells kittens that are called BONSAI CATS. That would sound cute, if it weren’t kittens that were put into little bottles after being given a muscle relaxant and then locked up for the rest of their lives!!
The cats are fed through a straw and have a small tube for their faeces (waste). The skeleton of the cat will take on the form of the bottle as the kitten grows. The cats never get the opportunity to move. They are used as original and exclusive souvenirs. These are the latest trends in New York, China, Indonesia and New Zealand. Let’s set the record straight: There is no such thing as a bonsai kitten. Bonsai kittens could not exist. Think about it. They would die under this kind of treatment. Not only that, the website itself is laughable. Products are not priced, and there is no secure way to purchase them. What kind of commercial site would not have Paypal as an option? You don’t even need a business to offer Paypal. Granted, this isn’t exactly a “respectable business,” but still. The tone of the website is actually quite strange — “Bonsai Kitticulture permits from the U.S. government…” I highly doubt the American government would condone such an activity. “In fact, if you take a week-old kitten and throw it to the floor, it will actually bounce!” This doesn’t sound serious. I admire you people who sent it on: your hearts are in the right place. Unfortunately you’re throwing yourselves against a cause which doesn’t exist.
Same goes for those letters which promise that so-and-so will get such-and-such amount of money if you forward it. Like I said, your hearts are in the right place. But it’s pretty difficult to track an email.
I don’t like forwards. They clutter up my inbox (which is low on space already) and waste my time.
So do everyone a favor and delete them.

And so the long march back to school begins. >.O I am really starting to dislike school. I’m always tired. -_-; Winter Break needs to be longer…. say… a year or so XD
Physics is making me lazy with sig figs. Honestly. You should have seen how out teacher dealt with the SF’s in the problem last class… he didn’t. I raised a point about the answer only having one sig fig, and he said, “Well, let’s not worry about sig figs.” ARGH! How annoying! Moving on…
Stagecrew was disorganized, as always. Not only did I not have the slightest clue what was going on, the head changed his mind about seven times X_x; Oi. I didn’t get home until close to 7. *sigh* And he wanted me to stay even longer. -_-; Times like this I wish I had a car and could drive. But then I think about how scary driving is and what a terror I would be on the road XD
I borrowed what should prove to be very interesting books from the library yesterday: Does God Play Dice? and Nihongo: in defense of the language. Does God Play Dice? isn’t a religious book at all (thank heavens — pardon the pun). It’s about the mathematics of chaos. I’ve always found chaos interesting. The idea that true randomness exists, that everything is left to chance, rather than being predetermined. We’re talking TRUE randomness. We’re not talking about thinking “Why did she just say that?” when you know there is an underlying cause. We’re talking iterations of 2(x^2) – 1. I guess a part of me is just attracted to the unknown, the fact that nothing can be known for certain.
But in chaos there is order, and in order there is chaos; the two are not polar opposites but more interrelated than we can comprehend…
Random Anime Birthday: Widoshiku/Akira Onishi (Time Stranger Kyoko)
-_-;; The one year anniversary of this little blog is coming up soon! February… something. I think my first pitas entry is the 5th, but that’s because I deleted my VERY first one (on the 3rd.) So I should have a layout change around then. Which means I have to work on it now. I already have a picture in mind, I just need to know what to do with it. ^_^
Stagecrew yesterday was fun because we actually did WORK! (Yes, I know it’s shocking.) Well, okay, we didn’t do work for the first part. I was supervising Gary and Eric as they wrote an article for the Big Bang (you can read it on Tuesday. ^_^) Then I spent the next hour in the green room pretending to work on props but actually talking to Gary. We found Eric sometme later and started moving things around and painting. (Outside. It got chilly at 6:00.) We became frustrated when we couldn’t make the black any darker (don’t ask.) We moved everything back inside, and then everyone chipped in a little bit so that Eric could go to Oakridge and buy us food (we were asking everyone to bring us food. How shocking when they actually did.) Two of us left early to go see a play >>; So we weren’t left with too many people. However, may others came to fill their place (very unusual.) However, by this time Gary and I had to leave.
Photocopying for BBSJ today was okay. But why do I always get there earlier before everyone else?
And why do the people running the food stand never give me free food?

I’ve been thinking about a few things. I figure that although it doesn’t seem like it, I am highly dependent on music to get me through my day. And while I wouldn’t go so far as to call them “theme songs”, songs that are stuck in my head are usually there for a good reason. I mean, I doodle lyrics all over the place because they’re always in my head.

And I’ve done a little thinking about the whole Gordon Campbell incident (I like to take my time thinking.) I don’t believe resignation is necessarily the answer; what I would like him to do is step aside while he “seeks professional help” and sorts himself out. I firmly do not believe that currently, he is in any state to be our premier. (No pun intended.) While it’s true that the majority of us would not be asked to leave our jobs of we were convicted of drinking and driving, the premier is a different matter altogether. He is a public citizen and he represents the people of our fair province even when he’s on vacation. The fact that he did it on vacation does not excuse him at all. Whether or not he was on his “personal time,” the fact remains that he committed a crime. And here’s where analogies to Ralph Klein break down. Sure, Mr. Klein is an alcoholic, and he got into a scrap at a homeless shelter, but he didn’t break the law. Mr. Campbell did.
In any case, Mr. Campbell will never be able to shrug this off, and his reputation as a politician has been seriously tarnished. He will no longer be able to run for pubic office without one of his opponents using this against him.

Today, Stage Crew was rather pointless, as everyone left early… -_-;; BAH. You know, I’m really worried. The plays are in two weeks and we have ONE load of white laundry and ONE load of pink. We need four of each -_-;; Plus we still need EIGHT squeegies. Not fun X_X;;
I do find it rather sad that such a good team as the Senators may simply be packed up and moved away. Ice hockey essentially represents Canada; to be without a team in our country captial (therefore the capital of ice hockey) is nothing short of disgraceful. While I am very confident that some measure will be found to keep the team in Ottawa, apprehension still lingers in the back of my mind…
